Yes! Climber Map is completely free to download and use right now. Once Climber Map grows, the plan is to add a small yearly subscription, around $5-10 a year. We're looking for just enough to support our efforts to survey new areas - so Climber Map can become more useful for more climbers.

Mountain Project is a great place for community sourced information. However, the information on how to find the climb isn't always easy to find. And that's where Climber Map comes in. We built the tool that we always wished Mountain Project had. We don't expect Climber Map to completely replace Mountain Project. In fact, for each climb, we added a link straight to Mountain Project so you can easily read through the route beta, protection, and comments other climbers have made.
Every crag and climb location was confirmed in person. The GPS on your phone is accurate within about 5 meters which may cause some drift in your location. Use the map to get to the right crag, then the route photos will help you pick out the exact climb.
